2014 Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast - A story of Forgiveness and Redemption:

On May 11, 2002, a drunk driver killed Renee Napier’s daughter, Meagan, and Meagan’s friend, Lisa. The driver, Eric Smallridge, was sentenced to 22 years in prison. In the midst of grieving the loss of her daughter, Renee went to prison and forgave Eric, and in turn, Eric decided to make something positive out of his tragic mistake.

Renee and Eric will tell their compelling story of forgiveness and redemption at the 38th Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast on Good Friday morning April 18th

Location: Ramkota Exhibit Hall
Hours: 7:00 – 8:30 with doors opening at 6:30 and breakfast beginning at 7:00

CBMC Mission & Purpose:  We’re a group of men in the marketplace living out our faith in authentic relationships.

At CBMC we strive to encourage individuals to get connected and to stay connected in order to help them grow in their faith. Being strong in faith empowers men to share with others the good news of Jesus Christ in the marketplace and to live godly lives. By fulfilling God’s purpose in their lives, men become a light to those around them by operating at a higher level of moral character and integrity and thus change the world around them.

Whatever your current role in business, whatever you aspire to be, CBMC strives to help you think biblically about it. As Christians in the business world, we desire to love Christ Jesus more than our work or our wealth. That doesn’t come naturally for us, so we help each other mature into the businessmen God wants us to be.

We spend most of our lives at work. That goes double for business owners and managers. Naturally, this is our greatest area of influence, so we encourage men to wake up planning to worship the Lord at work so he will honor the Lord with the best of his life.

Remember, Christ didn’t come to save the “found” and the “perfect.” He tells all who are weary and downtrodden to “Come to me.” If you’re weighed down by junk in your life, there is a man nearby who would consider it an honor to draw alongside you to point the way to Christ.

Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast:

  • The Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast has been presented each Good Friday for the past 37 years and has been sponsored by the Sioux Falls chapter of the Christian Businessmen’s Connection (CBMC). Each year the Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast draws between 1200 and 1400 attendees, making it one of the largest Prayer Breakfasts in the US.
  • The Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast has two priorities. First, it is our desire to present a very high quality event for the local community. Secondly we make sure that whoever attends the Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast will be confronted by the real Gospel of Christ’s life-changing power. We select our speakers according to their personal testimonies of how their encounter with the risen Lord changed their lives.
